The World Triathlon Sprint & Relay Championships is waiting for you with breathtaking courses! In the heart of Hamburg you swim through the Alster, cycle along famous hotspots to the Elbe and finally run on a circuit along the Outer Alster to your finish line in front of the magnificent Hamburg city hall.

Swim course
Experience the morning charm of Hamburg while swimming in the Alster, framed by some of the most impressive buildings the city has to offer. The start takes place as a water start in the Binnenalster. There is one lap to swim with a distance of 750m meters.
Please note: YThe exit is via wide steps and is carpeted but can still be slippery. Here you should exercise caution. The transfer route to the entrance of the transition area is about 200m long and carpeted and takes you past hundreds of supporters.
Bike course
The bike course is mostly flat and offers very good asphalt conditions, and leads athletes along numerous sights such as the Speicherstadt, Landungsbrücken and the Reeperbahn. The course consists of two loops.
Run course
The run course consists of 1 loop and leads from the transition area on Ballindamm via Jungfernstieg and Neuer Jungfernstieg in to the Outer Alster. The flat course follows the banks of the Alster, mostly on cycle paths and footpaths with asphalted and sandy sections, past great buildings with great views of the Outer Alster and the final reward, an unforgettable finish in front of the magnificent Hamburg City Hall.
