Suzuki Kids Triathlon gets ready for the start

The setup for the Suzuki Kids Triathlon 2024 in Hamburg's Stadtpark is ready. Starting tomorrow, Thursday, 3,000 pupils from grades three to twelve will compete over two days in Hamburg's biggest school sports event.

It all starts with the individual and relay competitions for primary schools. 1,250 pupils in grades three and four will start at 8.30 a.m. in groups of 20-40 children to swim 50 metres in the Stadtparksee. They then cycle two kilometres on closed and secured sections of the Südring and Saarlandstraße. After the second change of discipline, there is a 500 metre run on the northern high bank of the Stadtparksee.

The finish line is traditionally cheered on by teachers and parents at the model boat pond. The award ceremonies will also take place there (around 11.30am and 1.45pm). 

A total of 75 schools, including 33 primary schools, from Hamburg and the surrounding area have registered. The two-day event has been fully booked since the beginning of May.
