Event Update 4 June 2021

While our team had continued its preparations for a safe and enjoyable 2021 World Triathlon Championship Series Hamburg, after evaluating the continued status of the COVID-19 pandemic in Germany with local authorities and the resulting restrictions in place, we regret to inform you that the event cannot take place on July 10/11, 2021.

Please know that we remain focused on creating an exceptional race experience and are working with the City of Hamburg to secure a new race date. As soon as we have a confirmed race date, which we hope to have no later than June 18, we will provide registered athletes with a selection of options which include an opportunity to stay in the race on the new date, defer to 2022, or request an event credit voucher.

While this latest shift is not the news any of us wanted to receive, we look forward to hosting you in Hamburg to share with you the unique race experience that our blue carpet in Germany’s Triathlon Capital is known for. We are confident that we will be able to provide you with a safe, enjoyable, and fair race later this year. In the meantime, stay safe and take care of yourself and your loved ones.
