Registration for HAMBURG WASSER World Triathlon opens on November 14, 2017

The World's Biggest Tri will return to Hamburg as a part of the ITU World Triathlon Series on July 14-15, 2018. Its spectacular setting and stunning atmosphere welcomes you as an Age Group participants and the world’s best elite triathletes alike. Up to 300,000 spectators and fans and more than 10,000 triathletes are expected to show up for this eagerly anticipated event.

Hamburg, Germany (November 6, 2017) – On the weekend of July 14-15, 2018 the city of Hamburg will host the 17th HAMBURG WASSER World Triathlon. Up to 300,000 spectators and fans and more than 10,000 triathletes are expected to show up for this eagerly anticipated event with online entries opening on Tuesday, November 14 at 10 a.m. CET. 
 
Starting and finishing in the heart of Hamburg, this unique event offers a variety of competitions that cater to athletes of all ages and skill levels: the Sprint Distance (0.5km swim/22km bike/5km run), the Olympic Distance (1.5km swim/40km bike/10km run), and the relay races across both distances. Its spectacular setting and highlight-packed course leads the athletes through the city centre along iconic landmarks such as the Alster, Jungfernstieg, Elphi, Reeperbahn, and Rathausmarkt make it a ‘must-do’ sporting event on the international triathlon calendar.
 
New to tri? No worries. HAMBURG WASSER World Triathlon is renowned for its first-timer friendly atmosphere. With an athlete field that consists of approximately 40% rookies each year, The World’s Biggest Tri is the ideal event to get into the sport. Also, it is also the best short course warm-up event for experienced athletes to get ready for the IRONMAN Hamburg just two weeks later.
