A fantastic triathlon weekend with over 6,000 open race athletes

After a successful start on Saturday, the SUZUKI World Triathlon Hamburg powered by HAMBURG WASSER received a real boost on the second day of competition.
2,350 individual and 885 relay triathletes took to the start line early in the morning in perfect conditions, mild 21° Celsius and sunshine.
Lasse Schöfisch from Lüneburg was the fastest over the short distance, crossing the finish line in 1:52:20 hours. The fastest woman, Anna Büttner from Minden, finished in 2:07:26 hours at the Rathausmarkt.
The 2007 triathlon world champion, Daniel Unger, was also there as an amateur athlete,
returned to the scene of his success 17 years ago. The 46-year-old from Ulm completed the short distance of 1.5km swimming, 40km cycling and 10km running in a respectable 2:25:43 hours.
The company cup classification powered by Suzuki was again very popular. 357 individual and 309 relay starters registered for the additional classification for companies.
A total of 6,250 amateur athletes took part in the SUZUKI World Triathlon Hamburg 2024, powered by Hamburg Wasser, once again making the event "the world's biggest tri". Hundreds of thousands of spectators watched the races in the Hanseatic city over the course of two days and contributed to the success of the event.
