World Triathlon has once again awarded the Mixed Relay World Championships to Hamburg. As in the two previous years, the SUZUKI World Triathlon Hamburg presented by HAMBURG WASSER 2025 will not only be about important World Triathlon Championship Series points in the individual races, but also about gold, silver and bronze in the thrilling mixed relay competition.
In 2023 and 2024, the German quartet crossed the finish line at the Rathausmarkt in the Free and Hanseatic City first in front of thousands of spectators and will thus start the mission of defending the title again on the weekend of July 12 and 13.
Since 2002, “the world's biggest tri” has been an integral part of Hamburg's summer sports calendar, and since 2009, the World Triathlon Championship Series has been unthinkable without it. While a Triathlon World Championship was held in the heart of Hamburg for the first time in 2007, the Mixed Relay World Championship was a regular part of the event program from 2013 to 2019. Now, the spectacular mixed relay world title race is back in the Elbe metropolis every year since 2023.
While the schedule for the individual events of the elite and the World Championship mixed relay race has not yet been finalized, it is already certain that amateur athletes will again have the opportunity to compete on the same courses as their idols in 2025.
The open race over the sprint distance (500-meter swim, 20-kilometer bike ride and 5-kilometer run) is scheduled for July 12, and the open race over the standard distance (1.5 km swim, 40 km bike, 10 km run) for July 13.
Registration has been possible since the beginning of the month. Feel free to sign up here.
